Pozidriv (PZ) and Phillips (PH) bits look similar but are not interchangeable — using a Phillips bit in a Pozidriv screw (or vice versa) causes rapid camout and strips the screw head. Pozidriv screws have a second set of tick marks between the cross arms — if you see these marks, use a PZ bit. PZ2 is by far the most commonly used size in construction and flat-pack furniture — keep several PZ2 bits on hand as backups since this size sees the heaviest use and wears faster than PZ1 or PZ3.
